Swasti ("wellbeing" in Sanskrit) was born from a belief that well-being shouldn't be a privilege for a few. We envision a world where everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity for everyday wellbeing - daily health and happiness . And, this is why we exist.
A registered not for profit organisation and part of the Catalyst Group - a social impact platform - Swasti has footprints and partners across 28 countries South Asia, South East Asia and parts of East Africa. Our presence is determined by the need of communities and partners seeking to make a difference. By ensuring our focus on empowering communities to adapt and thrive in a changing world, we strive to add not just healthy days, but resilience to the lives of the most vulnerable at the face of far reaching adverse impact of climate change.
Swasti is recognised as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR). This recognition entitles Swasti to receive required administrative support from the DSIR on scientific research activities. Swasti is also an official member of the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health. Swasti has Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council since 2017. ECOSOC serves as the central forum for discussing international economic and social issues, and formulating policy recommendations addressed to member states and the United Nations system.
