Walmart Vriddhi is a project meant to accelerate MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) by transforming their fixed mindset into a growth-oriented one. So far, we have accelerated the growth of over 25,000 MSMEs in more than 150 cities.
In collaboration with Flipkart, Swasti newly listed 3,550 MSMEs on the e-commerce platform. We enabled capacity building of MSMEs and onboarded interested ones through a partnership with state governments.
A total of 86 MSMEs completed personalised mentoring sessions. Also, 15 MSMEs received export readiness training in collaboration with the Walmart sourcing team.
A pilot Vriddhi MSME centre was set up in Bengaluru. The results from it are very encouraging. To give you a glimpse of the same, 359 interactions happened in a period of three months, via walk-ins, calls and other outreach.
Moving on beyond numbers, here is what Darshan, a manufacturer of welding machines from SLN enterprises, had to say:
“As a manufacturer of welding products, I was looking for an opportunity to sell my products on digital platforms. Due to the lack of handling e-commerce platforms, I visited the Walmart Vriddhi centre and a team member there helped me in listing my products online.
Based on the recommendations by the team, I started learning from the LMS (learning management system) about markets, supply chains and e-commerce. The learning modules were easy to understand and I felt happy about receiving a certificate at the end too.
