Swasti, in partnership with CMS, develops methodology for high-risk group mapping in Karnataka. This methodology becomes national guidelines and is used to estimate high risk groups across the country.
Swasti partners with Swathi Mahila Sangha, a collective of women in sex work, to develop an empowerment initiative called Pragati. Based in Bangalore, the initiative is part of the Gates funded Avahan program. The success of this was later replicated and scaled across 84 community-based organizations in 2014.
Expands footprint to 11 countries through workplace interventions focused on women workers, in partnership with GAP Inc., and the Personal Advancement and Career Enhancement (PACE) program.
Swasti co-establishes 11 community-led water plants in Chikballapur district to address the issue of rampant fluorosis affecting smallholder farmers. All 11 are functioning and self-sustained as of 2022.
WHO invites Swasti to present their work on the health workforce at the 3rd Global Human Resources in Health conference in Recife, Brazil.

As COVID-19 hits India, Swasti incubates the #COVIDActionCollab - an all-India collaborative, united to provide relief, recovery and build resilience among the most vulnerable communities. The collaborative consists of Organizations and Networks working together to support these communities during the period of crisis and enable them to secure their future. The 359 partners strong collaborative has since provided 25 Million+ service instances.
Swasti is recognised as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR). This recognition entitles Swasti to receive the required administrative support from the DSIR on scientific research activities.
Swasti completes the pilot of Community Led Monitoring (CLM) methodology across 3 geographies supported by NACO and USAID/PEPFAR. The methodology and lessons find acceptance with the National AIDS Control Organization, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for scale up through partners across the country.
Swasti begins its first multi-country work in the space of routine immunization for adults in partnership with Rockefeller Foundation supported Global Vaccine Initiative.
Swasti forms the first Centre for Strategic Communications for Public Health - a platform that offers tailor made solutions to tricky communication problems in the space of Public Health.
